History:
Albert chains are coined after the charismatic style of England’s First Husband, Prince Albert. As royal pioneers of fashion, he and Queen Victoria set a new standard of refined elegance.
Though he is best known for his exquisitely-cut clothes and streamlining men’s slipper with silk lining and monogrammed velvet —his watch chain has become an emblem of sophistication.
Traditionally this style of watch chain is worn with a T-bar to fix in your buttonhole and draped to the side. Albert began wearing a double chain strung from the left, center t bar, to right, leaving ample room for ornamentation and gadgets. Today you can wear them across your vest or as a supple chainlink charm necklace.
